Overview
The City of Industry has adopted and implemented a Sewer System Management Plan (PDF) in order to minimize and eliminate future sanitary sewer overflows (SSOs) that occur in the City. The goal of the SSMP is to greatly reduce, if not eliminate, the water quality issues that could pose serious health and safety risks from SSOs. The City partners with Los Angeles County Consolidated Sewer Maintenance District for the operation and maintenance of the sewer system. Please visit the Sewer Maintenance District's website for more information regarding Industry's and the County's sewer's systemwide.

Do Your Part
The City of Industry encourages you to do your part in ensuring sewer overflows are prevented as much as possible. We encourage you to visit Trap The Grease (FOG) to learn what to do and what not to do around the kitchen when it comes to grease, and see how following some simple rules greatly reduces the fats, oils, and grease from entering the sewer system.
