Third-Party Collectors

Per Section 8.20 of the City of Industry Municipal Code, a collector is defined as a solid waste refuse collector with a written franchise, contract or permit for the collection of solid waste, including salvaging or salvage collecting. All Collectors operating in the City of Industry are required to obtain an annual “Collector Permit” to remain in compliance with the City of Industry’s Waste Management Procedures (Section 8.20 of City of Industry Municipal Code).

Self-Haulers

Pursuant to Section 8.20 of the City of Industry Municipal Code a Self-Hauler is defined as any individual, partnership, joint venture, unincorporated private organization, or private corporation engaged in salvaging which it creates, accumulates, imports or causes to be imported into the City. Self-Haulers are required to obtain an annual “Self-Haul Permit” in order to remain in compliance with the City of Industry’s Waste Management Procedures (Section 8.20 of City of Industry Municipal Code).
