Every March, the City of Industry hosts its annual State of the City Address to celebrate a year of progress, innovation, and community strength. Hundreds of attendees, including local business leaders, educators, nonprofit representatives, and community partners, came together to reflect on the City’s achievements and vision for the future.
This year’s theme, “Driving Progress, Powering Innovation” highlighted advancements in sustainability, energy, and business growth. Milestones celebrated included Priceless Pets Rescue’s one-year anniversary with 400+ adoptions, the return of Taste of the City with 500+ attendees, and community efforts like Arbor Day tree planting and a river cleanup that removed over 760 pounds of trash.
The 2025 Heart of Business Award was presented to Bentley Mills for its leadership in sustainability and social responsibility. City Manager Josh Nelson introduced the launch of the First Public Hydrogen Authority, and IBC Executive Director Joanne McClaskey shared successes from 2024—including the partnership program with HLPUSD that connects students with local businesses through hands-on experiences.
