The residents of Industry are represented by a 5-member City Council. The members of the City Council are elected on an at-large basis to 4-year terms.
Overview
The City Council is composed of five members elected at large by the citizens of Industry to serve for four-year overlapping terms. As the City's legislative body, the City Council act on City laws and are bound to uphold State and Federal laws; they appoint members to the various City boards, commissions and committees.
The Mayor and Council Members also serve as Board Members/Commissioners to the Successor Agency to the Industry Urban-Development Agency, Industrial Development Authority, Industry Public Utilities Commission and Industry Public Facilities Authority with the Mayor serving as Chairman/President of the Board.
