Article/Notes:

A major four lane road project named Route 1274 was constructed as a 58 mile link between Huntington Beach in the south and the Antelope Valley to the north. The City of Industry was one of the 13 cities the route weaved through in an effort to facilitate north/south travel in an area with (at that time) a limited freeway system.
