The Industry Chamber of Commerce was formed in 1962. In January of 1970, the Chamber was expanded to include the Industry Manufacturers Council. Augmenting the services provided by the city government itself is the Industry Manufacturers Council (IMC) whose members and officers are comprised of representatives of individual firms located within the city.

Today, the Industry Manufacturers Council is a non-profit, action-oriented professional business organization serving the needs of its members and also providing services as a public relations agency for the City of Industry.
In addition to the opportunity to serve their community and make the kind of business contacts that increase profit, IMC members receive a variety of specific benefits in exchange for their membership dues. These include a membership plaque, free listing in the IMC Business Directory; invitations to IMC-sponsored executive luncheons highlighted by speakers of general and business interest like D. Joyce Brothers, Athlete Bruce Jenner and Coach Jerry Tarkanian; seminars and conferences; a copy of the monthly City of Industry News; wage and salary data upon request; a City of Industry Map; economic and demographic information; statistical research on business in general and the City of Industry specifically. Additionally, membership in a commercial credit union is available.

An Annual Charity Pro Rodeo, since it's inception in 1987, continues to be a major event in october and is supported by the civic and private sectors, encompassing participation from the entire community. The Industry Manufacturers Council is a major sponsor, along with school districts, Industry Sheriff's Department and local service organizations. Since the inception of the Charity Rodeo, The Gabriel Foundation, which presents this event as its main fundraiser, has contributed over $1 million to various organizations dealing directly with disadvantaged, physically abused, handicapped and emotionally disturbed youth in this area. The Rodeo draws over 300 professional rodeo contestants each year, many of whom are world champions.
