Abundant education at all levels is to be found within a 40 minute drive or less of the City of Industry. Some of the finest educational and research facilities in the world are in the San Gabriel Valley, developing a diverse and well trained workforce.

On the west end of the San Gabriel Valley is the California Institute of Technology in Pasadena, where some of the top scientists and engineers in the world have graduated.  

The east end of the San Gabriel Valley also offers several exceptional institutions with national and international reputations, including California State Polytechnic University Pomona and the Claremont Colleges.

There are four unified school districts in the immediate vicinity of the City of Industry. They are: Walnut Unified School District with seven elementary schools, two intermediate and one high school; Rowland Unified School District with 15 elementary, three intermediate and two high schools; Hacienda La Puente Unified School District with 30 elementary/intermediate and four high schools; and Bassett Unified School District with six elementary, two intermediate schools and one high school.

In addition, there is the La Puente Valley Regional Occupation Program serving the unified school districts and numerous parochial elementary schools in the immediate vicinity as well as Bishop Amat Memorial High School.

There are also two community colleges adjacent to the City of Industry:

Mt. San Antonio College offers academic and vocational instruction as does Rio Hondo College.  Both colleges offer daytime and evening classes.

Some of the highest quality preparatory, middle and grammar schools in the state, both public and private, can be found in the San Gabriel Valley. A number of alternative education opportunities are available through private schools as well.
